Lagoon Description
Rathgama lagoon is located in Rathgama Galle district in the southern province of Sri Lanka.The lagoon is at 060 01'N;800 and approximately 15km from Galle city. The estimate terrain elevation above seal level is 7 metres and comisting of 310 hectares.
There are 3 islands preecence in this lagoon two of there islands are inhabited by buddhist monks.Who are leading a meditative life.There is a vast bio diversity in this lagoon comprising manliy mangroose those mangroose add beauty to the natural scenario.
About Boat Safari
We can watch the surrounding of the lagoon by comming through "Sudumatiya" canal.Six pepole can enjoy the safari with assistance of a guide.We can coinsider those Kayak boat riding as an adventure sport became the individuale has to ride themselfes.
